controversy
Ramadan (Arabic: رمضان, Ramaḍān) is an Islamic religious observance that takes place during the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, when the Qur'an was revealed.
Fasting The most prominent event of this month is the daytime fasting (sawm) practiced by most observant Muslims. Every day during the month of Ramadan, Muslims around the world get up before dawn to eat and perform their fajr prayer. They break their fast when the fourth prayer of the day, Maghrib (sunset), is due.
During Ramadan, Muslims are also expected to put more effort into following the teachings of Islam as well as refraining from lying, stealing, anger, envy, greed, lust, sarcastic retorts, backbiting, and gossip. Obscene and irreligious sights and sounds are to be avoided; sexual activities during fasting hours is also forbidden.[Qur'an 2:187] Purity of both thought and action is important. The fast is intended to be an exacting act of deep personal worship in which Muslims seek a raised level of closeness to God. The act of fasting is said to redirect the heart away from worldly activities, its purpose being to cleanse the inner soul and free it from harm. Properly observing the fast is supposed to induce a comfortable feeling of peace and calm. It also allows Muslims to practice self-discipline, sacrifice, as well as sympathy for those who are less fortunate, intending to make Muslims more generous and charitable.
--- gosh. so it's for the above reasons that muslims are supposed to fast. i had just witnessed a terrifying incident on my way back from woodwood. As i strolled home, ignorant to all things as usual, a skinny malay lady feebly beckoned for me to stop. Sobbing away, she told me her discomfort and how she had just regained conciousness from fainting. Thankfully, there were two chinese men who had helped call her fiance but she had difficulty communicating with them and needed my help. But i was so helpless. :'( I asked if she needed the ambulance, offered her water and gave her tissue. That was all i could do before her worried fiance came along soon after.
It was indeed frightening. the mere thought of fainting in the middle of the night along the streets makes me shudder. She's really fortunate to have met two kind men and have a fiance to be there for her (you cant imagine the relief in her voice when she saw him!) there's so much love in this world and im so inspired by the two chinese men!
fasting/skipping meals is scary. so to all those already skinny people out there, dont push your limits alright. take your meals regularly! as for those who are fasting, please eat well after break fast times!
this makes me think that fasting is too much of a sacrifice. how can one's health be compromised? there are indeed many things i still do not understand. now, i wonder if anyone has protested against the idea of fasting. and if the muslim community were to chance upon my entry, i will be so dead. but well, my main objective was to caution those who are dieting/skipping meals to quit their unhealthy habits. so pardon me okay.

move along
i want to focus. but it's so tough! tax quiz is tom but i still cant find my motivation. URG i ought to be killed! it's not supposed to be an internal struggle cause the angel is supposed to psycho me to study and the devil is supposed to remind me of how tragic my grades already are. but it seems like i cant even be bothered with both the angel and the devil living inside me. only losers admit defeat and i havent even started the battle. see how hateable i am. ROARS!i can go on for a million years on how sick/stressed i am and all i do is procrastinateprocrastinateprocrastinate! SLAP ME plsss... i just feel so restless i wanna strangle the ragdoll again
after meeting up with cpa aust today, it's like a load lifted off my chest cause i'm finally handing over all the duties of a biz mag! but no doubt there's still a tinge of sadness...
oh yea. i promised to return to talk about WED and THUR! getting all emo and teary really isnt the norm for all-smiles cheery girls like us, but on wed we just couldnt help it as we were flooded with memories of the past. there are some things that still return to haunt us time after time though they have happened many years ago. it's only part of the growing-up phase so i suppose we just need a while longer. most of all, we seek solace in the fact that we can share the unspeakable, trust one another and be there for each other. even our mistakes and fears resonate our similarities! indeed, i can feel the distance betw us closing up! lovelove vicvic! :D thankew for all these and more! sweet memories of year one sem one
life's a learning journey and it's the falls that make us appreciate what we have more.
we really dont like being emo but sometimes, we just need to let it all out and it will be sunshine after the rain again! let us be brave!
fact of the day: Boredom can lead to madness in parrots. When caged by themselves and neglected for long periods of time, these intelligent, sociable birds can easily become mentally ill. Many inflict wounds upon themselves, develop strange tics, and rip out their own feathers. The birds need constant interaction, affection, and mental stimulation; some bird authorities have determined that some parrot breeds have the mental abilities of a 5-year-old human child. Should a neglected parrot go mad, there is little that can be done to restore it to normalcy. In England, there are "mental institutions" for such unfortunate creatures.
can humans be bored to devastation? bah... more like my slackness leads to poor results which brings about devastation :((( when i count the number of "but"s i use in every entry, i know how i've been trying to wriggle out of things by finding excuses everytime

Cintaku bukan di atas kertas, Cintaku getaran yang sama, Tak perlu di paksa, Tak perlu di cari, Kerna ku yakin da jawabnya, Andaiku bisa merubah semua, Hingga tiada orang terluka, Tapi tak mungkin , Ku tak berdaya, Hanya yakin menunggu jawabnya.... Janji terikat setia, Masa merubah segala, Mungkin dia kan berlalu, Ku tak mahu mereka tertawa, Diriku hanya insan biasa, Miliki naluri yang sama, Tak ingin berpaling, Tak ingin berganti, Jiwa ku sering saja berkata Andai ku mampu ulang semula, Ku pasti tiada yang curiga Kasih kau hadir Tiada terduga Hanya yakin menunggu jawapan

Don't stray, don't ever go away I should be much too smart for this You know it gets the better of me Sometimes, when you and I collide I fall into an ocean of you, pull me out in time Don't let me drown, let me down I say it's all because of you And here I go, losing my control I'm practicing your name so I can say it to your face It doesn't seem right, to look you in the eye Let all the things you mean to me Come tumbling out my mouth Indeed it's time to tell you why I say it's infinitely true sway, bic runga

Have you ever felt a breeze hit your heart. Like the wind was blowing it apart. Had you spinning like a merry-go-round. Indications of a storm touching down. I wish that I could weather any storm. And today I'll trust you with the confidence of a man who's never known defeat But tomorrow upon hearing what I did, I'll stare at you in disbelief Oh inconsistent me! ...crying out for consistency
And You said, "I know that this will hurt, but if I don't break your heart, things will just get worse. If the burden seems too much to bear, remember... The end will justify the pain it took to get us there
And I'll let it be known (times I have shown) Signs of all my weakness But somewhere in me, there is strength
And You'd promise me, that You believe In time I will defeat this 'cuz somewhere in me there is strength
And today I'll trust you with the confidence of a man who's never known defeat I'll try my best to just forget that that man isn't me

bogged down
first of all, for a certain ninnypoop, this week's free access week. it's double HOORAY for those who hate to praise me everytime you enter this site! heh. no worries, you get to continue next week.
it's been a long time since i last blogged. cause i've been forcing myself to blog only until i've done work but obviously, ive been procrastinating so i dont get work done and i dont get blogging done. URG (learning from vicvic, whom im meeting tom!(: )
TAX! for now, that's my heaviest burden, biggest luggage, most dreaded thing, greatest worry and scariest monster or rather most disgusting giant-pearl-necklance-like-worm! this refers to those worms that start to flood the stairway to the roofgarden towards s4. cries. when will their "season" be over again. those frightening creatures come in all shapes and sizes and they never fail to make my heart pound and knees wobble. then i wonder if ntu is like a jungle. ewwwie creepy crawlies gave me a horrendous nightmare even URG URG. sigh. but we have to get tax quiz done and over with so let's GO! power up guys! after that will be partying (abc farewell dinner and bingxiang's 21st!)
1. TODAY WITH THE DEANS ( and some mooncakes, choco eclair ) HAPPY MID-AUTUMN! not-very-happy-stepping-down feeling especially after reading edlyn's sweet testimonial for all of us. last acad year was indeed a blast. :)
2. MONDAY after draining tax and acct proj, i was fasting (not really actually, if u count popping mentos ) till 7pm! thankew sillybean for making an empty trip to school to do fetching. i was so mad at your empty promises (yet again) if you didnt know cause i even bought your ahpek chestnuts for you. LOL. okie that aside, thanks for chuck and larry though it was qt a bad show. we both felt the way they protrayed homosexuals in the show is quite demeaning. it's so disappointing cause adam sandler's shows are supposed to be good. half the time, i was wishing dinner could come sooner too! heh. anyhow, what happened after movie was just zimzamzoom! LOL. you dont know what people can do when they are too starved. almost anything tastes exceptionally good, especially when you just keep gobbling and stuffing. (cries! me and my gozilla appetite!) bet it was entertaining for the chefs behind the glasspane to watch us eat. shopping was at zoomzoom speed till you punched me and got caught by someone! *hushhush*
i understand our differences. when i ask if there's someone who can accept you completely, it was only because i dont like being in denial. i guess there are many things i will not understand and not see them in the same light. i hope you would love yourself more. nonetheless, i know how all of us value the friendship with you such that we would avoid saying anything that will possibly jeopardise it. i wonder if it's the same for everyone. can we be ignorant to certain things so long as everyone can still be happy? does that work like a silent compromise?
3. SUNday at 2350h it's been qt a while since sistie and i hung out tog for madrush shopping! today's 1.5hr was indeed well-spent. our neoprints are delightfully sweet! tho the both of us were blotchy and all, we had great fun all the same, rediscovering how to design neoprints and reliving those good old days. i love my sistie! visited grams to pass her the eastocean mooncakeys i bought for her! how delighted she was! so were my folks! :)
4. SATURDAY night fever (high like all saturdays) we went bb macs to mugmug and shake along to "sweet dreams are made of these. who am i to disagree. i travel the world and the seven seas..." we so love mambo songs! and they are indeed from my parents' era. they have heard sweetdreams before! i like staying over at geokie's! felt like it's been a while. oh yes. there was shopping for mooncakeys and i still like looking at my new silky flips when i walk! WHEE! it's crazy how much fun that night was :) five episodes of majo no jouken! that's about five hours straight! makes one think about all kinds of forbidden love. i think mutual love is hard enough to come by. what's worse if it's forbidden. how tragic. well, geokies has transformed to an aunty! join the club! anyhow, the show made me like the song "first love" again. watch this! it's part one of episode one of majo no jouken. just listen to the intro song from 2.40min :)
this reminds me - prison break! geez! episode one hints that the new season will be of michael being stuck in hellish prison of sona. he will try to devise yet another ingenious plan to break out. a little disappointed that this season's gonna be another chase of police and thief. but i like prison break all the same. and i can only reward myself with all the shows that are lining up, screaming for me to watch them, only after i study! sigh.
Savage Garden - Crash and Burn When you feel all alone And the world has turned its back on you Give me a moment please to tame your wild wild heart I know you feel like the walls are closing in on you It's hard to find relief and people can be so cold When darkness is upon your door and you feel like you can't take anymore
Let me be the one you call If you jump I'll break your fall Lift you up and fly away with you into the night If you need to fall apart I can mend a broken heart If you need to crash then crash and burn You're not alone
When you feel all alone And a loyal friend is hard to find You're caught in a one way street With the monsters in your head When hopes and dreams are far away and You feel like you can't face the day
Let me be the one you call If you jump I'll break your fall Lift you up and fly away with you into the night If you need to fall apart I can mend a broken heart If you need to crash then crash and burn You're not alone
'Cause there has always been heartache and pain And when it's over you'll breathe again You'll breath again
When you feel all alone And the world has turned its back on you Give me a moment please To tame your wild wild heart
Let me be the one you call If you jump I'll break your fall Lift you up and fly away with you into the night If you need to fall apart I can mend a broken heart If you need to crash then crash and burn You're not alone
i've found a new hobby! singing can be a lot of fun! while the moonface stares into the velvet sky, we belt out the many songs playing inside our heads, one after another. we sit at some unfamiliar place but it feels so peaceful. i like nights, alot still. this time round, i know i can see it clearer and everything's better. somehow, your eyes see what your heart wants them to. it's like im more blind than ever. fix my gaze, not. and im glad for that.

ready to make nice
these days i have a habit to reminisce about small happy incidents. it's quite unhealthy cause i would want to return to last year only because it was more carefree, not that im sad now or anything. ha.such turtle-ly behaviour huh
last year was really eventful! besides the first six months of endless working (pretty enriching experience tho), i had an equally crazy share of fun after work and i miss mustafa already.then was my first trip overseas with my friends! to amazing thailand, specifically phuket (quoted as the land of the lemon and the chilli, the sea of the sotong and the prawn! lol! i miss those days so badly! those cranky calls! ) last yr was also about meeting new people and forging new bonds. i am still very thankful to be part of Castor in NBSFOC. all you people are more than wonderful. :) tho abc did give me quite a bit of stress, i truly enjoyed my term of office. thankew 17th comm for making the journey all worth it. of course, special thanks to dear bizmags and fc!much loves! and there was krabi, to sum up the year beautifully.
i guesstimate ( = guess + estimate. new word learnt from HG801, first used by george w.bush) that it's only because when the going gets tough that i find ways to escape, to want to leave things behind and return to the happy-go-lucky days. well, everyone has to move on. i shall set my heart on my studies, having given myself sucha long undeserving break. everyone boleh! i can already smell the exams ):
wednesdays are good, especially today. 'cuase i'm adapting, well. lunch was especially good when shared :) hopefully we can have acct intv and study/shop on sat, belbel! hg801 lect was really interesting. (today came the question of which elective i will SU, should i decide to. im not confident of doing well for malay and hg801 mini quiz was badly done. but i am ambitious enough to not want to SU any. i like both! since there's still time to think, later then) a couple of hours ago, i went jogging with shin and that brought back really sweet memories of our ac days - tucking in at dover market, speedy showering after pe and going green. LOL. and i hope we can stick to "wednesdays are qianqi" days dearie! even a simple dinner is good! :)
OKIE FOLKS! i promise to be back an hour and a half later to report about prison break season three episode one! YAY! cause i know i wont be able to wait till tom to mention how good the show will be!
fact of the day bren and i washed the toilet today! i magicleaned the room even! :D i can already foresee myself missing u toiletmaties!
groove to the tunes of:
So after all's said and done I know I'm not the only one Life indeed can be fun If you really want to Sometimes living out your dreams Ain't as easy as it seems You wanna fly around the world In a beautiful balloon

while having martini with jo and geok at this atas bar at oriental hotel yest, i felt a twinge of envy for those intelligent people out there. and yest, there were two! (lol. excluding me of course) while im still stuck at pulau ntu in singapore, smartietarties are going overseas, meeting new people and experiencing totally different things. not that being stuck here sucks, but being smart and hardworking grants them a global studying experience and i can just see a whole bright future ahead of them. it's hard not to want to be in jo's position. then i wish i were half as smart. thanks for bringing us to sucha nice place! cheers to chocolatini, appletini and lycheetini! take care at london dearie! big hugs!

looking through the photos in the afternoon, i realised how much i miss my holidays! )))): and this is only krabi. here's what krabi is famous for.
this is my favourite picture (tho i cant tilt it blea) when the moon meets the sun. spot the little crescent moon and salmon orange bits of the sun
and we were lucky enough to enter this church! i swear thailand has the most endearing people. they specially unlocked the place just for us to look around. and our very nice tuktuk driver was kind enough to wait for us while we roamroam.
then at phi phi island! i saw the cutest kids! there's just sth about me and malay kids larrr i named them ALI & BABA! sigh. i so wanted to bring them home. help me visit them when u go again this year end, okie!!!

racist NOT
i've decided to be interracial today. let's promote some racial harmony :D i know it's supposed to be 21 july. i'm so outdated, i know.
mooncakey festival zhong qiu jie is here! it's sucha pleasant sight to see tiny malay kids happily carrying plastic lanterns! today, i shall wish them HAPPY THIRD DAY of the fasting month. in many ways, i think the muslims sacrifice a lot. and fasting is only one of them. perhaps, such religious restrictions are merely constant reminders of the presence of god in their lives and not viewed as sacrifices.
fasting = tidak makan dan minom, from wee hours in the morning till they break fast at about 7pm. and my malay classmates back in ac told me that fasting times are almost different setiap hari (everyday) cause they are determined by what time the sun rises and sets! so, some of them actually follow the traditional mtd of listening to the radio to find out the timings! how interesting!
black or white. let's be racist, not. character counts far more than color really.
i'm turning to snowskin mooncake at woodwood! brrrr... HAPPY WEEKEND to all! i LOLO my bestie! *happy buttshakes* ~sings to grey sky morning! soooo sweetly antique (:
"Best I Ever Had (Grey Sky Morning)" So you sailed away Into a grey sky morning Now I'm here to stay Love can be so boring
Nothing's quite the same now I just say your name now
[Chorus] But it's not so bad You're only the best I ever had You don't want me back You're just the best I ever had
So you stole my world Now I'm just a phony Remembering the girl Leaves me down and lonely
Send it in a letter Make yourself feel better
And it may take some time to Patch me up inside But I can't take it so I Run away and hide And I may find in time that You were always right You're always right
So you sailed away Into a grey sky morning Now I'm here to stay Love can be so boring What was it you wanted Could it be I'm haunted

badkid
im a bad kid.
imabadkid reason one: im allowing myself blogging time when i have work's that long overdue and i havent tried to flatten the skyhigh pile today. well, i can only say that i wanted to blog on sept 11 but i didnt cause i offended pp all because it was a PMS (pissing myself sick) day. oddly, it was a bluer day than monday. must be because it's 911 )': i wanted to blog yest at 5am but i didnt simply because that 5 mins of freshness didnt last long enough. plus, i was long concussed before i even realised. to think that i even wanted to attempt to do my acct tut. who are you kidding jacq! LOL. it's just like how i could zone out for a whole five seconds while giving my malay boy listening compre at tuition today. it's embarrassing tho i think he didnt really catch me! it just goes to show what im doing is really unhealthy ):
imabadkid reason two: mambo jambo. to think that i should be catching up on work and tax cause there's no tax for this week, so all of us are feeling more relieved and we can reward ourselves with a mini celebration after hg801 mini quiz (the quiz didnt go too well but i always feel happy once it's over). but no. neither did i study at the library nor complete my tut for this week. yet, i went mambo. argh. okay, nvm. MAMBO is crazy! ulu me and my first time to mambo and velvet! lol. been to zouk a few times but somehow, it's always not a wednesday. sorry that i didnt "allow" a certain someone to join us. sorry steph. hope i didnt jeopardise your future happiness with you-know-who. it's fun to go with close friends and not to worry. like lum said, there is still a long list of people! we can easily come up with ten names! anyways, the night started with our market-like noisy chatters in the cab, coupled with nonstop friendly jacking (like lum is steph's girlfriend and they must protect each other etc.). then we met up with 2 of steph's friends and moved on from line of trust talk to a HIGHly action-packed guessing game. finally, at steph's calls of "let's go mambo!" we followed her "figure of 8" trails to the dance floor, thankfully still sane enough to take care of her. music wasnt so good at mambo but we had fun all the same, following actions of lum, the mambo king! :D the first few things that came to me when we started dancing was how nice the feeling of liberation is. somehow, clubbing with the right company gives me that undescribable happiness, possibly derived from being able to loosen up, forget myself and shed the mask that everyone puts on as part of being so self-conscious.
imabadkid reason three: if mambo isnt bad enough, i went bugbug shopping with bren and geok today. that's after surviving a day from only 3 hours of sleep and one hour of power nap. we managed to cover quite a lot of shops and met our objective too despite being three zombies!
imabadkid. period. i'm killin myself with bad time management and placing fun at first priority. i should really quit it and not do things that i WANT to but do things that i NEED to! cries! what happened to the motivation behind that "get to dean's list" desire??? growls. jacq boleh!!! focus and discipline please!
fact of the day:
btw, i am officially moving out of hall by dec cause sistie is going norway for exchange and i really should be home to take care of mumsy. anyone who wants to stay with my shining roomie can lemme know! sorry dear )': i dedicate this song to you! i know we love it! it's addictive! sean kingston - beautiful girls
You're way too beautiful girl That's why it'll never work You'll have me suicidal, suicidal When you say it's over Damn all these beautiful girls They only wanna do you dirt They'll have you suicidal, suicidal When they say it's over
See it started at the park Used to chill after dark Oh when you took my heart That's when we fell apart Cause we both thought That love lasts forever (lasts forever) They say we're too young To get ourselves sprung Oh we didn't care We made it very clear And they also said That we couldn't last together (last together)
See it's very divine, you're one of a kind But you mash up my mind You have to get declined Oh Lord... My baby is driving me crazy
It was back in '99 Watchin' movies all the time Oh when I went away For doin' my first crime And I never thought That we was gonna see each other (see each other) And then I came out Mami moved me down South Oh I'm with my girl Who I thought was my world It came out to be That she wasn't the girl for me (girl for me)
Now we're fussin' And now we're fightin' Please tell me why I'm feelin' slighted And I don't know How to make it better (make it better) You're datin' other guys You're tellin' me lies Oh I can't believe What I'm seein' with my eyes I'm losin' my mind And I don't think it's clever (think it's clever)
You're way too beautiful girl That's why it'll never work You'll have me suicidal, suicidal, suicidal...
this isnt a very good video. low quality! but well, just make do. ha
p.s. mark, stop playing cupid! LOL you are more eager than i am about my own life! and i bet shane is equally nonchalent! i swear you are the only friend who is free enough to do such things! but it's sweet of you to care tho i dont want that sorta help, for now.

touchy issues
today i saw how ugly singaporeans can be, specifically how ugly i was. eeks. jacq hodoh :((( i tried to make up for it ( by being nice to other people ) but no, i still feel bad about the whole incident. im too embarrassed to mention what i did. so let's just move on while i sit on it and make sure i never do that again. to that poor lady who was cursing me under her breath, im truly sorry. :(
BOSS CHONG'S TREAT i would say that today's a fantabulous day all in all! boss chong, abbywebby, longlong and i talked for say five hours, had a good lunch at ajisen *drools at the thought of crayfish ramen* and went over to tcc for more drinks. it was so nice seeing your familiar face that was much missed at our random abc events. sigh. i dont like graduation and the idea of leaving school. grr. the peterpan syndrome is kicking in again.
we really had a great time, laughing, talking, trashing out every single thing, listening to grandpa chong's sobsob stories and asking for more touchy (literally, HAHA) stories! so if we had to let someone take the blame, let's just blame it on fate for the way things has turned out and for the mistakes everyone makes in life. it's about time to get rid of that evergreen label. may cupid shoot you with that arrow soon! well, i do feel bad having no stories to share and i really dont see cupid's arrows anywhere near. but im relatively happy for the way it is :) back to boss! boss, it was so sweet of you to meet us up in small groups, to catch up and keep that one foot in nbs! ;) small group get-togethers are most effective and they show 100percent sincerity! now, i cant wait for our DEF shirt and meeting abbywebby soon to hear your stories! *winks!
fact of the day today's trivia toon goes to you, boss chong! without having to hold your breath, you look equally red after drinking a can of beer! LOL. you seriously need to learn how to hold your liquor in order to go to cheena and find yourself mrs chong ( or rather, miss chingchong! ) haha
saturday night was about being half a wanderteen, gobbling ichiban's sumptuous food, being bad ( cause i was unable to go for your party ) and falling in love with how magnificent museum negera is at night (not that it looks terrible in the day but it's simply gorgeous when illuminated by street lamps and orangey candle-ish lightings). the national museum, chijmes, this atas place at bugis which is set up by some hongkong tycoon, riverside and clarke quay, just to name a few. i wish i could take a nightwalk and be intoxicated! so for those who still think that our country is boring with so few attractions blah blah, COME TO ME! let me show you around this a beautiful country! but it could have been a better night without your empty promises. i know how demanding i can be, how tired you were and how long you've waited. maybe you shouldnt promise more than you can offer. puts me in a bad light.
i know there are times when i take my friends forgranted. but i never thought of having friends to leech on them. maybe it's because we're such close friends that i become more frank and consequentially, less sensitive and more direct with my requests. that's no excuse, i know. it's just jacq becoming more and more hodoh :( no doubt we are getting grouchier and sleepier these days. we should just meet november first, 2008. we shall see who's sincere enough to remember :) till then, we would have so much to share about what has happened in one year.

pandai
AHEM AHEM! -clears throat-
i passed my final theory! :D :D :D
okay! no big deal to some of you smartypants out there! but it was so nerve-wrecking for me, considering that i was still at page 70sth (about half of the book) 30secs before i started the test. yesyes, i went to take the test without completing the book :S how terrible! so i must really thank lady luck for being there! most importantly, i would like to thank my friends, my lucky stars! ;) here's my thankew speech!!! in no order of merit okayyy :)
thankew vicvic for calling to gimme support and wishing me luck! you are the first i called to tell the news! :D thanks din for the 5mins crash course after ratrat! you gave me tips on both occasions and it helped me a great deal really!!! thanks sistie for chanting "goodluck goodluck" before i raced out of the house! thanks jer for praying for me :) your prayers always work for some reason! thanks lum for telling me that you took 3 trial tests (and passed without having to read the book) when i bumped into you! those practice questions are really repeated! whee! thanks ssdcl for letting me book the trial test four hours before my actual test! it was tons better than reading the book!
A BIG GROUP HUG FOR ALL OF YOU dearies! terima kasih!!! so now you should say "jacq pandai five times!" muahaha!
BUT, malay quiz didnt go so well. :( i need to buck up!!! jacq boleh! btw, while revising my notes, i saw this: batok = cough bukit = hill which makes bukit batok a cough hill, totally didnt make any sense! LOL

two red cars
sulks. it's a 2 red cars day or rather 3 green cars day. if you've read the book, you would know. christopher, an autistic boy, rates how happy his day will be by the number of red cars he sees on his way to school. cause red is his fav colour and he dislikes yellow so seeing red cars would signify a happy day ahead but yellow cars would be the reverse. i like yellow so i shall label bad days with green cars.
oh well. instead of sulking cause of tomorrow's two tests (adv driving which im on page 18 of the 122 pages, and malay class quiz which is thankfully ungraded and open-book but i have an extremely high tendency of failing both of them), i shall thank two people for making it a two red cars day.
1. im glad i studied with vicvic today! :) reminded me of the good old days back in sem one! :) :) big hugs dearie! thurs are for US!
2. even though -the grand piano at the backstage of nanyang audi is now locked up in the piano store by selfish piano ensemble peeps -we didnt get to finish even one quarter of secret cause school connection sucks and crunchyroll hangs -i didnt get to hear you play secret (very very upseting) -we didnt get to go botak jones and blah blah... but im glad to see you! :) and be happily reminded of your bimbo-ness! LOL like you've said, it's been a while!
p.s. dont wash dirty linen in public! about locks and cars, keep that to yourself please ;)
oh ya. i caught rat-a-ratrat last night!!! with free drinks, cheezels, popcorn, great company and an abundance of laughter! so today's trivia toon goes to REMY! or rather the marvellous makers of rat-a-too-ee! :D dont kill them poor creatures!!!
i shall hit the books again. trust me, gorging helps to de-stress. it's amazing how choc lifts your spirits though it's just mars choc ( quite ew. i know ) no wonder our dear class rep matin ate 4 packets of maggie that time! he's a real cutie i swear! what happened to chalet and class outing, skaters :S

issues
since i'm still not sleepy or rather i still cant sleep :( here's another entry :)
taking the bus to school today, i thought about how guys are so different from girls. not in any good or bad way. just different. like how jingyun and teow were "arguing" which species is more complex, the male or female? the common belief would be that women are more complex by nature. i am inclined on that view too. but somehow the world's changing so rapidly that perhaps, humans are evolving too, such that we are all becoming more complicated. the olden days were simple. men took care of bringing home the bread while women worried about every other thing from kids to washing clothes and gossiping at the market. presently, with gender equality and shared responsiblities, the very things that complicate women are worries of men too. however, guys might be simpler in their thinking for they still stick to practical ways to solve their problems. women tend to let our emotions get in the way. then again, there's the sensitive new age guy SNAG! OK, it's a debatable issue.
blea. maybe i am tired. POOF! have a pleasant wednesday, my friends! :)

or so i thought
i shall reward myself with blogging time since i have completed half of acct tut (: this entry is expected to be a long one! cause i'm feeling fresh like a daisy though it's three plus alr!!
AGM like myra has said, agm was indeed a jolly event. but it made me really miss abc days and edlyn and mister chong! cant wait to see you this sun boss. you've practically been MIA! then i saw this sweetie pie email from edlyn. (: it was about a pastor's son and a granny. but certain 3 things started me thinking.
Three things in life that, once gone, never comes back - 1. Time 2. Words 3. Opportunity
Three things in life that are most valuable - 1. Love 2. Family & Friends 3. Kindness
Three things in life that are never certain - 1. Fortune 2. Success 3. Dreams
Three things that make a person - 1. Commitment 2. Sincerity 3. Hard work
No one falls in love by choice, it is by CHANCE. No one stays in love by chance, it is by WORK. And no one falls out of love by chance, it is by CHOICE.
talking to bernard today made me start to worry about my attachment, my career and where my interest lies. i procrastinate too much. so here's a piece of advice to my dear friends, do start planning your attachment, career etc. just reading up and finding out more helps to get a clearer picture so that we wouldnt end up panicking when we reach year three, having to juggle interview preparations and the much heavier workload. then did i realise that my previous random thoughts corner was actually reflective of the need to start to find out about the whole acct career. i have unknowingly put it at the back of my head for way too long. enough said, all of us shall start working hard towards our bright bright future!
oh yes. another achievement for today that i nearly forgot to mention. i went to src's gym for the first time! :D estelle and i had helluva time figuring out the equipments and laughing ourselves silly while exercising! do you know how much you were missed LUM! we wished you were around to provide gyming tutorials! haha
RETRO MAMA! everyone should really watch this and get a taste of how music videos were like back in the eighties!it's hilarious! enjoy! ring ring
in case shin's jealous that yest's trivia toon was for brenda, this is for you! remember how the spasm incident made us laugh so hard? :)
and congrats on being 8th in the ultimate airband competition! *claps!!! i hope your bandmates dont mind me featuring this! http://www.uab.com.sg/uabvideo_index.php check the first video out! my roomie's the one in white! :)

the guessing game
guess what!!! im at home AGAIN! :\ im a spoilt bad kid, period.
i have been contemplating giving up hall life altogether. but there are many things holding me back. i am thinking through it still. thinking very hard.
i simply cant wait for the happiest things to happen. i'm anticipating malay on tue, wed's lunch,hg801 and RAT-a-ratrat, thur's solo secret performance by piano prodigy and my income on FRYDAE!!!anw i havent found your scores YET ): school starts to become draining and sap us of our lithium batteries. cause the workload's getting heavier and that's not something to look forward to. just thinking about the next few sems to come makes me feel so apprehensive. I remb mugging hard only at the last part of the last 2 sem ( explains why last min mugging makes my results so cui ) and it was still qt possible to catch up, in a way. but that's not the case anymore!!! we are into week 5 and work's piling like skyhigh! and it just keeps piling... so are my obligations... (do up sistie's blogg, cpa aussie stuff blah blah.. just to name a few) can you imagine if i had a cca, i would probably have pulled out all of my hair.
whines whines. all i know how to do is complain. grrr if i still cant learn to manage my time and money better, i will just end up hating myself more :((( but today's relatively happy still it was one of the better tax classes cause moira khaw was in a fantabulous mood so we all got to see how mediacorp has lost a talent! *does the nonchalent patting of the ends of her shoulder length hair with a "i'm a diva" expression* i shall call that the moira's trademark move. LOL actually, she's not really THAT intimidating. in fact, she sounds like a really good mummy. she's always talking about her kids though usually in that sarcastic tone that is both witty and funny.
fact of the day i dedicate today's trivia toon column to BRENDA! :D thankew for the sweet sweet message! you know how much i treasure your company in hall too! XO XO and OX OX! and how much we like to snack together then sulk and compare tummies! haha
p.s. you are so bad at guessing games

backtohall
i think im in love with woodwood lib. a big part of me wants to continue staying home so i can study at woodwood lib as often as i can it's the best place to study! with internet access, nice galilee food and slurpy hot choco it feels like time will stop for you there and i somehow like the fact that noone will watch you cause they're too pre-occupied with whatever they're doing. but i know that i will miss out on alot of things. i will be missing the front part of alot of my 830 lessons and missing jango's many dinner and supper outings. i will miss doing funny dances and catwalks in hall with shin and gossiping with bren and wendy too SO... i guess i have to get used to a slack hall life and try to force myself to study in my stuffy room ( now that i killed my fan )
well, i've just got a new tuition assignment! cheers to the much-needed income! cause my sec 3 smartypants girl got a1 for both her a&e math common tests, her mum is asking me to tutor her p5 sis! wooots!!! :D that's fab improvement from a F grade in amath just 2months ago! she's such a smartytart! so am i!!! HURHUR
random thoughts corner: if i were a millionaire's perempuan, i would still go to uni cause a good education matters alot. but i would go to smu fass or nie! or buy my way into medicine school, and then pull strings to be a pediatrician or try my luck to be a stewardess then take lessons for ballet, dancing, singing and playing drums, violin and piano! and be a full-fledged SHOPAHOLIC! go for high-tea day in day out and skip lessons in between blea. i cant continue fantasizing im qt glad im not born with a silver spoon in my mouth i know how i would squander away every cent of my parent's wealth im glad to be able to taste the bitter-sweetness of life and learn to appreciate what i have ohh. hear the sourness in me. i'm just disparaging the high life cause im jealous
haha. but it has always been a wonder how my future will turn out to be. for most people, they've already got theirs all planned out maybe even before they stepped into uni there's so much uncertainty for me i wish i could have a plan too cause frankly speaking, i think i cant endure the strenuous workload of an acct or rather i dont think im capable enough
but life isnt about finding the easiest way out i have to LEARN to EMBRACE my future occupation! okay, off to the movies with my folks! shall continue hugging the books back in hall
may everyone have a great WEEK FIVE muggers!!!

shadows
looking through photos taken in the past, i remember being young again
1. Febuary 21, 2007. that was me kissing ronald at jp. it has something to do with being high at night when all the shops have closed and not many eyes are watching.
2. August 30, 2007. at cck ljs even cam-whoring can make people cry! LOL. look at ahthiong me! a little ET looking huh 3. July 23, 2007. heritage fest at acm look at those endless legs! scaryyyyy :S at toy museum, we saw the longest ever hopscotch mat!
it was like being transported back to the past. a pity that most parents seldom buy toys now. it seems like toys are rapidly being replaced by pc games.
4. June 30, 2007. at topshop wisma a day of indulging in bonbon. *daydreams about giant lolli and jellybeans from candyempire i love those baby clothes!!!
5. September 1, 2007 finger-licking popeye chicken! explains the chilli-stained fingers. HAHA i wonder who else eats with almost all ten fingers! i couldnt find our changi photo 2yrs ago amazingly, it's almost exactly the same
as din has mentioned, the mousetrap needs more bait. thus, catching of the rat has to be postponed to wed. ): it was a good joke tho.
the next movie i'm gonna promote is EVAN ALMIGHTY! i still remember liking Bruce Almighty alot alot four years back. at sixteen, i had a taste of being a bad kid. not those who do really bad stuff, i merely broke a lot of rules my government (my parents) had set. i enjoyed the thrill of breaking rules, like skipping tuition, staying up late, sneaking out of house early to catch the sunrise and sneaking into cinemas (okay, dont point fingers at me. i only did that once :( ) such squirelly behaviour huh! well, i've grown up. i dont do those mindless stuff anymore. right. it's like living in denial.
somehow, being young grants you reliance. you dont need to be responsible for your own life. your parents will take care your financial and emotional needs. they will cushion your falls. but as you grow up, you will have to learn to cope with everything on your own. now, i'm speaking like a kid who still wants to stay in nevernever land till i am ready. i dont want to budge. this is how childish i am.
anyhows, i'm mugging at woodwood library again. *big grins* this is to make me more guilt-free should i be a wanderteen tonight.
catch me at channel 8's "like father, like daughter", 9pm on weekdays! lol. that's the comments that i've been getting lately. WELL, i dont really look like her right? maybe its the flat face and ever-so-hard-to-conceal-eyebags ):
