while re-reading my past entries the other day, (geez. i always do that! and i thought it was embarrassing to admit it till i found out that maxine does that too!!! HAHA!) i realised i liked my past entries much better, like those in july and august. it seemed like i was much happier back then. though there were stuff bothering me in that period of time, i blogged about happier things. recently, i havent got the luxury of time to doll up each post with my favourite columns- factoftheday and triviatoon. )':

The tongue is often cited as the "strongest muscle in the body," a claim that does not correspond to any conventional definition of strength. Since three factors (neurological, physiological and mechanical) affect muscular strength simultaneously and muscles never work individually, it is unrealistic to compare strength in individual muscles, and state that one is the "strongest". Accordingly, no one muscle can be named 'the strongest'. The unexplained statement that "the tongue is the strongest muscle in the body" appears frequently in lists of surprising facts, but it is difficult to find any definition of "strength" that would make this statement true. Note that the tongue consists of sixteen muscles, not one.

the recent heated debate on amendments of Section 377A has caused much hoo-ha in school. not only does our co law prof discuss it during out tutorials, it's been a much discussed topic over lunch. though i personally object to admending the law, it's depressing to read about their stories. i realise that it's something i try to understand but still cant accept.
