19 Jan i'll remember today, my first official
rainbow day! so much joy fills my heart that i couldn't stop smiling on the way home. even every song in my ipod is a happy one. today's the start of something that i hope will last for a long long time cause i know that it will be one of the best things that has happened this year. (: you probably don't understand any of this gibberish or can't relate to my merriment but this has always been something that i wanted to do. somehow or another, i felt as if i've found a calling for teaching. i'm not very certain of my direction in life but i'm really glad for today. to douglas, hidayah and mrs trinidad, thank you for today (: and to more days to come!
i've been wanting to post a poem that my junior melinda wrote for me back in st nicks. i still kept autograph books back then. heh! old school (aka old class to bren)!!!
"There's always a silver lining in every cloud you look."
This sentence came out of a book,
I read when I was three.
And this comforted me
when I was sad and tired,
when I was required
to do well in school,
when I felt like a fool.
I remembered that quote,
that some famous man spoke.
I looked for that lining
even when I was crying.
Hoping to find a way,
when I had a bad day.
To reach out to happiness,
to ask for forgiveness,
when I had done something wrong,
I looked for that lining,
even when I was crying.
I have grown so old.
Tears and laughter form my mould.
I have learnt to hide my sadness,
tried to ask for forgiveness,
when I knew I did something
so horrid, so mean , so unforgiving.
I try to improve my day,
by comforting myself and say,
There's a silver lining in every cloud,
the saying I had repeated, as a child.
each footstep is a new love letter ♥
